Rosie makes moving image and installation through research periods spent working with individuals, small groups, or unknown Youtube subscribers. Increasingly significant is the relationship that arises between the subject and the artist during this process. Rosie is currently working with a birdwatcher to think about how different knowledge shapes what can be seen. This has grown from an interest in how a digital or physical place is defined and expressed differently by people.
Rosie is a graduate of Plymouth University, a studio holder at KARST (Plymouth), and a member of the collective Sister Sister. Recent exhibitions include G O N E (preserve us), Images Nightclub (Plymouth), Sister City, TOPOS (Exeter), Staging Post, Inland Festival (Redruth). Recent awards include A-N Artist Bursary (2018), ACE Grants for the Arts (2017), and Plymouth Platform Artist Mentorship (2017).
In September Rosie will begin an MLitt in Fine Art Practice at Glasgow School of Art.
