Rosie makes moving image and objects with an ontological focus on the present and a hopeful imagining of the future.

Currently Rosie is thinking about speed and human physical action as an act of resistance to productivity. Trains have been occupying her thoughts for a while and she’s into Turner’s painting Rain, Steam, and Speed. She has been listening to early Detroit techno and wondering if slow rap is resistant to acceleration.

Rosie is undertaking an MLitt in Moving Image and Photography at Glasgow School of Art. Recent exhibitions include G O N E (preserve us), Images Nightclub (Plymouth), Sister City, TOPOS (Exeter), Staging Post, Inland Festival (Redruth). Recent awards include A-N Artist Bursary (2018), ACE Grants for the Arts (2017), and Plymouth Platform Artist Mentorship (2017).
